Wisconsin Rapids Area Habitat for Humanity

The Wisconsin Rapids Area Habitat for

Humanity (WRAHFH) was formed in 1992.

It is served by a board of directors who are

elected and have limited terms.

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI)

is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing

ministry.  HFHI seeks to make decent shelter

a matter of conscience and action.

Habitat invites people of all backgrounds,

races, and religions to build houses together

in partnership with families in need.

What We Do:

WRAHFH partners with families in

need, volunteer laborers, and local

businesses to build an affordable

house.  Habitat houses are sold to

partner families at no profit,

financed with affordable,

no-interest loans.

The homeowners' monthly

mortgage payments are used to

build still more Habitat houses.
