The Wisconsin Rapids Area Habitat for Humanity (WRAHFH) was formed in 1992. It is served by a local board of directors.

We are affiliated with Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.

Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races, and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Together, we make the world a better place!

What We Do:

WRAHFH partners with families in need, volunteer workers, and local businesses to build an affordable house.

Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit, and they are financed with affordable, no-interest loans.

The homeowners' monthly mortgage payments, along with material and financial donations and volunteer workers, are used to build still more Habitat houses.

Thank you sponsors and affiliates! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters partnered with Ho-Chunk Gaming in Nekoosa to raise money for the Wisconsin Rapids Area Habitat for Humanity.

Pictured above, Rafters GM John Fanta and Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa Senior Manager of Public Relations Melanie McDonald present local Habitat Board Members Dennis Gaskill and Larry Turba with a check for $1,684 at Witter Field.

We thank the Rafters, Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa, and all of our sponsors and affiliates, as well as our many good-hearted volunteer helpers for their generous gifts of money, materials, and time and energy. It's because of YOU that we are able to help local families with their housing needs.

Words of Wisdom
I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.
